Director/Producer
Uzi Geffenblad was born 1964 in Israel. He has been working professionally as a horn player in orchestras and theaters before moving to Sweden 1986.
Since 1988 he is working with films and since 1991 mainly with animation.
The first film-works was as a composer and a musician, then as a screen writer and editor and eventually as a director/producer. Uzi has also worked as a sound engineer in film and radio productions.
1998-2001 Uzi was elected as Chairman of FFAF (The Swedish Association for Animated Films), teated at the Mediecenter in Tumba hi-school and is now lecturing about screenplay, and production of animation in the schools of Visby, Eksjö, Fellingsbro and Steneby.
Since 2002 Uzi has produced the 46 minuts animation ”Among The Thorns”, the short films - ”When we die”, by Håkan Wennström and ”The Cake” by Pia Holmqvist and the animated documentary ”Radicalized” by Klara Swantesson and the current short ”Aston’s Stones”.
At the moment Uzi is in charge of the development of the TV-series ”Spot and Splodge”.more...
