About Me

I'm originally from Kansas. I've just moved from Utah (where I lived for two years) to Boston. Where I sell seafood by day, and solve crimes by night. (The seafood part is true, I was just trying to sound more exotic.)

I've just had the world premiere for my first short film, "The Single Mother" at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. (And it won a prize!) I'm madly submitting to festivals at the moment to get the word out, so if you have an open spot in your festival for a short... I might just be willing to take it off of your hands!more...

The very 1st article about the film was just published by QSaltLake, my favorite gay newspaper! (Mostly because I lived in Salt Lake City for two years, and shot the film there...) It's entitled, 'Former Utahn's "Gay Transvestite" Short Wins at Rhode Island Film Festival"'. Gay transvestite, haha. Everyone seems to love that phrase.

My favorite quote about the film is:

"A colorful story… filled with dream sequences that rival the art found in Hedwig and the Angry Inch."

I've uploaded a high quality version of the article at www.thesinglemotherfilm.com/QSaltLake.pdf (I actually really like it!)

"The Single Mother" had a fantastic premiere at the Rhode Island International Film Festival! I honestly couldn't be happier with the top notch hospitality offered by the festival staff and the enthusiastic audience reception. (Which is something I was biting my nails to the bone about -- and luckily two girls trying to sell Ford Fiestas by the theater were there to calm my nerves)

The film premiered a day early, received a second showing, garnered a fantastic amount of attention given the merit of the other films in competition... and won a prize! The 1st Place - Alternative Spirit award. Now I CANNOT WAIT to get this film seen in more places.

Onward ho!
