The obvious answer - enter it in our 2010 Student Film Festival. We want to see the best student made films from 2009 and 2010. It is easy to enter and it is completely free. Concours de courts métrages Cinespi

« Apocalypses – Cinéma des fins du mondes »

Du 11 au 16 octobre 2010, à Louvain-la-Neuve, se tiendra la troisième édition du festival CINESPI (« Cinéastes et Spiritualité »).

Apocalypse ! Le terme ne cesse de fasciner, renvoyant à la fois à une idée de fin du monde et à un principe de révélation. Son pouvoir d’évocation est immense et donne lieu à des interprétations innombrables. Le cinéma, loin s’en faut, n’est pas en reste.

Le festival Cinespi se consacre à la dimension spirituelle de l’existence humaine que peuvent exprimer les cinéastes dans leurs œuvres. Cinespi proposera, du 11 au 16 octobre 2010, des films connus ou à découvrir ainsi que des courts métrages et documentaires qui déclinent le thème des apocalypses et de la fin du monde.

Le festival propose également un concours de courts métrages autour de ce thème, ouvert aux créations du monde entier et à tous les types d’œuvres (fictions, animations, docufictions, documentaires, reportages etc.).

Le jury qui désignera le vainqueur du concours est présidé par le cinéaste belge Benoît Mariage.

Les conditions pour les films présentés :

- Avoir été réalisé après le 1er janvier 2008

- Durée maximale de 30 minutes

- Etre envoyé en format de projection : DVD (PAL) ou cassette mini-dv.

Les films devront être remis pour le 15 septembre 2010 au plus tard, accompagnés du formulaire d’inscription disponible en ligne :

Contest shorts Cinespi on the Apocalypse

From 11th to 16th October 2010, will be held the third edition of the festival CINESPI (“Filmmakers and Spirituality”).

Apocalypse! The term continues to fascinate, referring both to a sense of end of the world and a revelation principle. Its evocative power is immense, and gives rise to innumerable interpretations. The film is no exception!

This festival focuses on the spiritual dimension of human existence that some filmmakers give to their works. Cinespi offers from 11 to 16 October 2010, films known or to discover as well as short films and documentaries that treat the theme of apocalypse and the ends of the world.

The festival also propose a competition of short films about this theme, Cinespi accepts creations of the world and all types of works (fiction, animation, docu-drama, documentaries, reportages etc..). The jury that will nominate the winner of the contest is chaired by the Belgian director Benoit Mariage.

Conditions for the films:

- has been made after 1 January 2008

- a maximum duration of 30 minutes

- to be send in projection’s format : DVD (PAL) or cassette mini-dv.

ABOUT…

11th Amateur and Independent Film Festival KAN 2010 – a film festival held annually in Wrocław, with the aim to choose the best Polish independent film in the categories of feature film, documentary and animation, and also the best foreign film. Between the 21st and 25th of April 2010, Polish and foreign independent film productions will be presented in Wrocław arthouse cinema ‘Warszawa’. We invite everyone who wants to share their works to join us in another decade of making and discovering independent cinema.

Call for entries 2010 – Best Foreign Film Competition

The Best Foreign Film Competition is open to all films of any genre, language and format (English subtitles are required), which running time does not exceed 30 minutes. Polish Films cannot be submitted to this competition.

How to submit a film

Films for the contests can be submitted from now on by sending them with the printed and signed application form to the headquarters of Polish Students’ Association in Wrocław (Zrzeszenie Studentów Polskich ul. Kościuszki 34 pok. 4 „Pałacyk”, 50-012 Wrocław).

now open for submissions.

Following in the footsteps of the Australian version of the Sexy International Film Festival (SIFF) Melbourne, The Sexy International Paris Film Festival (SIPFF)(Association Loi 1901) has been created as a uniquely francophone version of the festival, focusing on strong Francophone content as part of its international program.

The Sexy International Paris Film Festival’s (SIPFF) goals are to discover, promote and screen the best independent films from around the world that explore the themes of “Sexy” –sexuality, love, marriage, divorce, lust, romance, seduction, relationships and the erotic.

We are seeking Shorts and Features for our 2010 program.
