Ffilmic Film Festival

A film festival for people who love moving image culture.

This is our second year and we aim to bring independant and non-mainstream films along with film literacy workshops to a rural audience.

Ffilmic 10 Day Film Challenge part of the Ffilmic Film Festival 24 – 25 October

Our challenge to you is to make a 5 minute film from script to screen in just ten days!

The Ffilmic Take 2 Ten Day Film Challenge is offering all filmmakers in the UK the opportunity to participate.

The challenge will kick off @

6.00pm, Friday 19th September

Theatr Llwyn, Llanfyllin

Each team will be given a film genre, a prop and a line of dialogue that must appear in the film.

You will then have until 5pm Tuesday 30th September to write, cast, shoot, edit and deliver your film back to us.

Ffilmic Take 2 is free to enter and open to individuals and groups, each team entering will receive 2 free passes to the Ffilmic film festival in Llanfyllin 24 – 25 October 2008.

There are three categories for Film entry:

Under 12, 12 – 17, 18+

N.B. only actors can fall outside of these age limits – if you have a mixed aged crew please determine your category through the average ages of your key crew – director, camera person and editor.

Every film completed within the Ffilmic Take 2 rules will be eligible for judging. This will be based on story, production values and adherence to genre.

Winning films from each category will receive a theatrical screening at the Ffilmic film festival and a DVD compilation of the best of the rest will be available to buy (and free to the winning teams).

Awards will also be given for the following:

Best Cinematography

Best Directing

Best Actor

Best Sound Design

Best Editing

Best Script
