The FFW Network has been designed to promote professional and social networking. FFW Network members have a Member Profile template that provides for eight major sections: Photo & Contact, My Web, My FFW Favorites, About Me, Background & Accomplishments, My Top 10s, My Network, and My Network Posts. Sections you do not complete will not appear in your published profile.

Click on Members in the top navigation bar and then sign in to access your Member Tools Panel where you can select your preferences and privacy settings or change your password. Member Tools allows you to search the FFW Member Directory, to see if you have any pending requests from members to be added as "friends" and when you click on "edit your profile" it takes you to your profile. When you click on "saved press kit" it takes you to the FFW Online Press Kit page you have started to submit to the FFW film promotion sections. If you have lost your password when you click on Members and enter your email address we will send it to you.

Your Member Profile Snapshot Page has tools for uploading and changing your member photo and email address (click on the orange edit link below "At a Glance"). This is the form where you insert and can update your contact details. On this page the Profile & Blog template is pre-selected (two additional template choices will be available soon). When you have completed the Snapshot page click on the "Save and Preview" button which will advance you to your actual profile page with your member photo and contact information displayed.

Please read the notes underneath "Edit Your Profile" to the right of your photo and contact section.

The My Network tab will show the members of your Network. Whenever a visitor to your profile clicks "Join my Network" next to your member image they will open a contact form to request that you add them to your network. You will then get an FFW Network email that the request is pending in your Member Tools Panel. If you want to edit your Network click on "Edit" in your Network tab where you can edit network privileges for each member you have added. You can allow "Trusted" friends to post to your network and all friends or anyone to see the Network posts. Your settings provide the option to allow multiple members of your film production company, film society, festival organization, or other group to post content to your page and then you select who can see it. Go to your Member Tools Panel while you are logged in to assign the settings that best suit your Networking goals.

The Network Posts blog displays text, images and video that you add by clicking "Add a Post" and entering your content in that form. You can use the HTML tags provided at the top of the text box on the form to bold or italicize text.

You can insert outside images that are hosted on your other web pages or photo-sharing accounts by enclosing the image URL with the image tags provided. The Upload an Image tool below the text box is provided for image files hosted on your computer.

You can embed videos already hosted on Myspace, YouTube, Google Video, Vimeo and Videoegg by using the embed tags provided by each of those services. Our system only accepts video files with those embed tags.
