    • Run time: 90 minutes
    • Original title: Quarta B
    • Country of origin: Brazil
  • Genre:
    Drama/Mystery - Thriller
  • Synopsis:

A primary school teacher, a principal, a janitor and 15 parents, all gathered in the same room to discuss a very taboo subject: What to do when drugs are found in your 10 year olds’ class.
Accusations, intrigue and many revelations appear as each one of the parents tries to protect the integrity of their own family.
One of the parents then proposes to transport themselves to the universe of the child who is using drugs. Thus they decide, through a vote, to smoke a joint.
Fragilities and obscure secrets end up being revealed by the people at the meeting, as their personalities change due to the drug use. And that which seemed to be the problem ends up lost amidst the lies, hypocrisy and dissimulation.
Trips, cravings, neurosis, crisis, numerous changes take the place of what was a normal school meeting.
Fourth grade is much more than a film about drugs. It is a film about life, our secrets, our fears and our journeys, about our selfishness within a society that is trying to survive, at any cost.
