  • Synopsis:

    Bolivar de la Cruz, (Kuno Becker), has made the treacherous journey over the border from Mexico to Los Angeles, California, home of Lola Sara, (Danielle Camatra) a beautiful and restless club hopping 22 year old who is caught between appeasing her old world mother, Consuelo (Maria Conchita Alonso), or following her own dreams and passions. Bolivar, living the illegal immigrant's daily struggle, begging for work as a day laborer has his big break when Norman Benjamin, (John Michael Higgins) a wolf in designer silk hires him to work as a male dancer in a private club for women. Bolivar is soon to ride the superficial high of having money beyond his wildest dreams, descending into the ugly path of drug use while Lola has to weigh the outcome of a unwanted pregnancy and potential abortion.
    ESL is the story of two people from very different sides of the same culture finding themselves on a collision course with events that will change their lives forever.
