1000 blank journals are passed from hand to hand throughout the world, collecting stories, pictures, collages -- slices of the lives they touch. One came back, filled. • September 2008 will be a very international month for 1000 Journals.

Our Italian Premiere is in Mantova, at one of the most renowned literary events in Europe: Festivaletteratura. We are in the film section Pagine Nascoste, with screenings on September 5th and 6th, 2008, at Cinema Mignon.

The Dutch premiere is in Amsterdam, where we will open September 7th and screen throughout the month at Smart Project Space, which combines studios with exhibition platforms for art, sound, and other events, a cafe/restaurant, and a brand-new 2-screen cinema.

The Canadian premiere is at Movies that Matter, in Calgary, AB, on September 22nd; followed by the UK premiere at the Cambridge Film Festival, on September 26th, at Arts Picturehouse Cinemas.

We will also be at the International Community Film Festival, in Northampton, UK; Port Townsend Film Festival (WA); San Diego Women's Film Festival (CA); Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival (AR); and at HDFEST in New York City, among others.
