Festival Description:

The Videofestival City of Imperia is organized by the Cineforum of Imperia and  is dedicated to works regardless of their format. The Festival is restricted to  professional directors, videomakers and schools (in a separate section).

PROFESSIONALS CATEGORY (chosen by the Jury) divided in:
*Films Section (with no time limits)
*Documentary Section  (with no time limits)
*Animation & Graphic Section (with no time limits)

AMATEURS CATEGORY:
*Feature films Section (Films, fiction etc. lasting more than 30 minutes).
*Short films Section (Films, fiction etc. lasting less than 30 minutes).
*Documentary films Section (Geographical, scientific, investigation,inquiry, lasting less than 30 minutes).
*Animation and Graphics Section (Video animation, computer graphics etc., lasting less than 10 minutes).
*Video Album Section (Topical Video album to one's choice, lasting less than 30 minutes).
*Schools Single Section 

INTERNATIONAL CATEGORY: 

Short films, Documentary films,  Animation films all lasting less than 30 minutes. Works must be subtitled in one of the following languages: Italian, French, English. To the first selected work of every section will be awarded a prize. 

EXPLORER CATEGORY: 

Open to international authors the Explorer Category is divided into Travel Documentary and Nature Documentary.

SPECIAL CATEGORY:
There are three sections  for professionals and amateurs who will compete together:

*Touristic Documentary Section: “History of journeys and people” (Trip documentary lasting less than 30 minutes): Only one work chosen by the Jury will be awarded a prize.

*Naturalistic Documentary Section: “Air, water and land...” (Video reportage about naturalistic world lasting less than 30 minutes). Only one work chosen by the Jury will be awarded a prize.

*“Italian Directors in the world” Section: (with no distinction of speciality and limit of duration.). Only one work chosen by the Jury will be awarded a prize.
