Vendôme Film Festival is organized by Centre Images, a part of the Centre for Cinema and Audiovisual, at Chateau-Renault. Centre Images provides guidance and support to writers, directors and producers with their cinematographic and audio-visual works, from the creation to the distribution. In support of film production, this approach encompasses development training, programmes for raising public awareness and the networking of key players within the film industry. As a cinema outreach post for the Regional centre, working in close collaboration with the French government, Centre Images has come to the fore as an established example of cinematographic decentralization. Since 1991, Centre Images has been involved in devising the tools required for the exchange and evaluation of programmes led by the European local authorities and promoting inter-regional co-operation. Supporting, co-operating, heightening public awareness, disseminating information - Centre Images assists the key players in cinematographic and audio-visual production to develop their projects, thus contributing to the emergence of new talent.
