  • The winner of the 56th TrentoFilmfestival, is the Dutch documentary film "4 Elements" by the filmmaker Jiska Rickels. The International Jury appreciated above all the explosive power of the narration, entrusted exclusively to images and sound that highlight with rare simplicity and sensitivity the relationship between man and the environment, which is still primordial. The Jury, composed of the Italian director Maurizio Zaccaro (President), the Danish documentary maker Tue Steen Müller, the Swiss director Sylviane Neuenschwander, the mountaineer Elio Orlandi and the Iranian documentary maker and writer Siba Shakib, has awarded this documentary from among the 34 selected for the international competition.

A collection of awards and prizes were given for the long-awaited film of the French filmmaker Rémy Tezier, "Au delà des cimes," starring the mountaineer Catherine Destivelle and filmed while she was climbing the peaks of Mont Blanc – not to highlight her achievement but to enhance the importance of mountain climbing with people who share the same passion.

Gran Premio “Città di Trento” - Gold Gentian and 5000 Euro for the best film of all, possessing high artistic qualities, that corresponds to the cultural aims pursued by the Festival.
