Over the past twelve years, TILFF has become Canada’s first and most respected International Latin Film Festival, and has won the hearts and praise of Toronto’s enthusiastic film going community. Their mission is to present a festival with universal appeal that can be enjoyed by native Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French speakers; lovers of the Latin languages and Canadian film lovers at large. The selection represents the best from the Latin world and all films are subtitled in English.

Besides films from Spain and Latin America, Italy, France and Portugal are added as permanent countries, as well as French Canadian films from Canada since 2003. This brings the roster to Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, Chile, Italy, France, Portugal, Mexico, Peru, Quebec, Spain, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela and elsewhere. Awards include Best Film Audience Vote and Best Film Critics Vote.
