  • Festival Description:

    This festival screens First and second films by directors from all over the world. There is also a non-competitive Panorama of Greek Cinema and New Horizons, a non-competitive section which is the cutting-edge showcase for the latest trends in independent film production.

    The Festival Board appoints seven leading figures of the film industry to form the Jury of the International Competition. The Jury is composed of one Greek citizen and six foreign personalities from around the world. The President of the Jury, as well as his/her substitute, are appointed by the Director of the Festival.

    The Jury must award the following prizes:

    Best Full-length Feature Film Award (Golden Alexander), Special Jury Award (Silver Alexander), Best Director Award, Best Screenplay Award, Best Actor Award and Best Actress Award, Best Artistic Achievement Award.
