TECHFILM is the oldest festival of films on science, technology and art in Europe. After more than 40 years this prestigious cultural and educational event comes from the East Bohemia region to Prague. TECHFILM festival together with the EMTECH conference was part of the program of 300th anniversary of Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague.
International festival TECHFILM is a competitive presentation of the latest films and educational products suitable to support education. The EMTECH conference displays materials that reflect the current state of education at the CTU and associate schools and institutions. The festival program includes not only European films and experts, but also films from the USA, Brazil, Cuba, Japan, Argentina, India and other countries. Main organizer and guarantor of the festival is the Czech Technical University in Prague which also contributes to the development of university teaching, education for handicapped people and life-long education and supports projects aiming to open up science, technology and arts to the general public.
