The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival screens films combining competitive main feature film festival with the sub-festivals of animated short films, student films and children/youth films. The festival aims to present Estonian audiences a comprehensive selection of world cinema in all its diversity with the emphasis on European films.
The program includes:
official competition Eurasia - feature films from Europe and Asia
Baltic feature film competition - feature films from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania
non-competitive section - feature films
Animation Film Festival Animated Dreams with an official competition - short animations
Children and Youth Film Festival Just Film with an official competition - feature films for children and young people
Student Film Festival Sleepwalkers with an international competition - short films made by film or media students, and with a national competition - short films by Estonian filmmakers.
