Festival Description:

TOFIFEST is one of the fastest developing film festivals in Poland. The event focuses on the presentation of feature films, with the emphasis on the young cinema, made outside the commercial system, and on artists' debutes and their second films. The Festival's catchwords are "independent films - independent thinking" and "the festival for dreamers". We present the cinema, which is called by media "an immodest cinema." The film screenings will be accompanied by many workshops, concerts, theatrical spectacles, dancing party, and meetings with the stars of European cinema.

During Festival, there are several Competitions:

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION for The Best Full-length Feature Film [Golden Angel + money award. For the feature films longer than 60 mins.]

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION for The Best Short Feature Film [Grand Prix: Golden Angel + money award. For the feature films longer than 60 mins.].

FORWARD! International Competition for the Best Feature Film [especially Debut or Second/Third Film] for the filmmakers who break the schemes and will to shape the future of cinema

POLISH COMPETITION

Since the previous edition films awarded at TOFIFEST are distributed across cinemas on a regular basis due to the Vivarto Film company’s partaking in the organization of the Festival. Winners of TOFIFEST in 2006 and 2007 have already been screened in Polish cinemas [www.vivarto.pl].
