    Seoul Independent Film Festival( SIFF) is an annual competitive independent film festival that committed to bringing challenging and diverse independent films into our community. SIFF showcases films in all genres of independent film and promote films that challenge traditional mindsets and provide new visions.

    SIFF owes its genesis to the 1975 Korean Youth Film Festival, Golden Crown Short Film Festival, and Korean Independent Short Film Festival and is presented by Korean Film Council and the Association Korean Independent Film & Video.

    SIFF showcases films in diverse genres of independent film and awards in three categories, which are: Short Film Competition(less than 60 minutes), and Feature-length Film Competition(60 minutes and more). We also invite overseas intriguing independent films to stimulate and encourage independent filmmaking in Korea.
