It is the leading event for short films in Latin-America and a very special meeting place where filmmakers can exchange esthetics, political and economic experiences related to shorts.

Presenting an expressive selection of films in the international program, the event showcases Latin American shorts and the largest annual display for the Brazilian production. The festival includes special programs that bring a diversity of forms, including retrospectives, tributes, and also recent digital films made in the outskirts of big cities around Brazil.

The festival brings a great diversity of shorts in the International Programs and the Latin American Showcase, besides a large display of Brazilian shorts in the Brazilian Programs (Brazilian Panorama, Cinema on Course and Kinoforum Developing New Visions).

Every year the event dedicates its Focus to a theme. This year, to celebrate the Festival's coming of age, we elected the theme Limits and Dreams.

Also, the festival programming brings to the public a broad variety of films with the Special Programs (retrospectives, famous shorts, showcases from other festivals etc), Mix Brazil Program (films and videos with sexual diversity themed) and many others.
