Sacramento's international film and music festival presents a cinematic entertainment event that has delighted Sacramento audiences with spectacular and innovative films from around the world since 2000. In the past 8 years the Sacramento Film & Music Festival has grown into a world-class film festival, and has presented over 400 short films, feature films, original music videos and hosted more than 30 live musical performances to appreciative audiences of thousands.
The Festival is a centerpiece for the local film and music arts scene, bringing great cinema and entertainment to the Sacramento region. The event not only specializes in screening quality films from around the world, but we are proud to have developed a reputation for challenging and showcasing emerging filmmakers and encouraging new film talent through our Student Filmmaker programs, and some of the most unique homegrown film production programs like Sac Music Seen and the 10X10 Filmmaker Challenge.
