Festival Description:

The Ourense International Independent Film Festival, member of the European Coordination of Film Festivals, is celebrated annually. During its trajectory, the Festival has established itself as a showpiece for outstanding independent cinema productions from all over the world, becoming a meeting point for the sector professionals and a development focus for the Galician audiovisual sector.

The Ourense Festival Concourse has three official sections: feature films (60 minutes or longer), short films and documentaries. All those producers, directors and distributors, who has the legal rights on the films that they wish to present, will be able to take part in the competition. Within the short film concurse there is a specific section, denominated as "Eixo Atlántico" ("Atlantic Axis"), in order to promote the movies that were produced in Galicia and Portugal. Besides the contest, the Festival will include non-competitive sections and cycles to promote the diffusion and the study of the cinematographic art.

AWARD "TODA UNHA VIDA" TO LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT
The 12th edition of the Ourense International Film festival will present this year a lifetime achievement award to a figure of the professional, artistic or technical panorama of cinema whose life has been dedicated to film.
