The Morelia Film Festival, held in one Mexico’s most stunning cities, a UNESCO World Heritage site, promotes local talent while creating a unique meeting point between filmmakers, audiences and the international film community.
The screenings are open to the public and all those interested are invited to attend. The films will be exhibited at the Festival’s main venue, the Cinepolis Morelia Centro, as well as Cinépolis Plaza Morelia and Cinépolis La Huerta. Free open-air screenings will be held in Plaza Valladolid and Patzcuaro’s Teatro Emperador.
Other than the film screenings, the public may also go to free of charge conferences, round tables, exhibitions and many other events where they will meet leading Mexican and international film industry personalities.
Running alongside the festival, the Morelia Lab, a production workshop and seminar for aspiring producers from Latin America, will take place
Morelia Lab offers six days of conferences and master classes on international co-production partnerships, sales, distribution, as well as a series on case studies and a project development workshop.
The Lab will include:
1.- PING, PONG, PITCHING. Workshop / Lab: How to pitch your project.
2.- Mexico and Latin America: Prospects for distribution.
3.- Produire au Sud Workshop. Co-production Partnerships in Europe.
