    MIFF is regarded unequivocally as the most significant film event in Australia. With the largest and most diverse programme of screenings and special events in the country, you can see films that you might never have the chance to see again.     MIFF screens over 350 films from Australia and around the world – comprising feature films, documentaries, and short films. The Festival assembles a monster 19 days of more than just the best in contemporary cinema – but also presents forums with filmmakers, panel discussions, celebrity interviews, outside broadcasts, music events, and an International Short Film Competition with the highest cash prize pool In Australia.
