Founded as an ambitious student initiative in 1991, the International Video Festival of Bochum has established itself as a platform with a wide-ranging program for all varieties of video production, true to its motto “3 days and 3 nights”. Hence, the culture- and media landscape of the Ruhr area could not be imagined without this festival. Essential elements are, besides the International Video Competition, the AudioVisual Performance Contest and a selection of Video Installations which will be judged by an international jury of experts.
