Festival Description:

The 10th International Film Festival, organized by the Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI), is the only independent festival in India. This festival screens over 100 Films from more than 40 Countries to a captive audience of over 3000 delegates in the following categories:

Global Vision A selection of films produced between 2003 & 2005 from across the globe to capture the latest trends in international cinema.

Retrospectives Screening of works of eminent film personalities who have contributed towards the enrichment of film culture – Indian and International.

Filmmakers in Focus Films of two world-renowned contemporary directors.

Focus on One Country A retrospective of films from a specific country to showcase the major strides being made in cinema.

Homage Tributes to filmmakers.

Special Screenings A showcase of old outstanding films from all over the world.

Competition of Indian Feature Films
Feature films by Indian Directors.

Awards Include:

Best Indian Feature Film, Special Jury Award, FIPRESCI Award, Focus on One Country, Lifetime Achievement Award - International and India, Kodak Award for Technical Excellence, Award for Contribution to Music in Films

IFF-Mumbai was the first festival in India to institute the International Film Critics’ (FIPRESCI) Award and is the first festival to introduce competition for Indian Feature Films with an International Jury.
