  • Festival Description:

    Hiroshima International Animation Festival will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2010. The Festival is administered, under the endorsement of Association Internationale du Film d'Animation/International Animated Film Association(ASIFA), in accordance with its regulations by the Organizing Committee, which is a non-profit organization consisting of the City of Hiroshima, the Hiroshima City Culture Foundation, ASIFA -Japan.

    The festival's Competition program is for short animation only. Feature films are shown in the special programs. 76 selected titles will be shown to the public during the festival in the competition programs. An International Jury, consisting of six members, will evaluate and choose the award winning titles. Festival Prize and Cash Awards are: Grand Prix of ¥1,000,000, Hiroshima Prize of ¥1,000,000, Debut Prize of ¥500,000, Renzo Kinoshita Prize of ¥300,000,Renė Laloux Prize of US$2,000, Audience Prize of ¥100,000.
