The Festival du nouveau cinéma - Montreal is devoted to promoting and fostering new approaches to film and new media. It is a springboard for unknown and original works and their creators, and emphasizes digital creations and auteur-driven cinema.
The Festival du nouveau cinémas strength lies above all in the quality of its diverse programming, selected for its excellence, originality and innovation. Thanks to its constant evolution in response to changes in cinema and new media, the Festival du nouveau cinéma has earned an international reputation for remaining on the leading edge of high-tech exhibition. There is also a screenplay competition.
