The European Children's and Youth Film Festival runs in both Antwerp and Bruges and is supported by the European Union, the Flemish Community, the province of Antwerp and the city of Antwerp. The festival’s main target audience consists of young film enthusiasts but its general principle is not to exclude anyone. The festival has a comprehensive audience reach and an international dimension.
European Children's and Youth Film Festival screens Feature films for children aged 8 to 12 in competition, in addition to side programs with features out of competition, documentaries, a youth section, workshops and various animations.
Comprehensive teaching material accompanying every movie includes information about the characters, the director, and the producer.
