The Festival aims to promote Films directed by women on subjects of their choice, and to allow for better understanding of the situation and evolution of women and their cinema in each country represented.
Film will be programmed for the following competitive International Selections:
a) Full length films selection competing for the Jury Prize, the Audience Prize, and the Competition Graine de Cineephage (for young public)
b) Full length documentary films selection competing for the Audience Prize and young doc prize
c) Short films selection competing for the Audience Prize, for the Best International Short, for the Best French short and for the Best European short.
The Prizes in cash will be awarded to the winning film makers. The Prize winning films will be screened one more time on the final day and for a special presentation in Paris.
There are three additional non-competitive sections:
a) Tribute paid to the career of an actress.
b) A Section Histoire de Voir : 30 years, 30 films.
c) French Premiere.
In addition to the many special programs, forums and tributes, the Creteil International Festival of Women's Films also hosts the "Film Market " IRIS.
IRIS, the center of documentation, programmation, edition and production of the International Women Film Festival of Créteil, offers unique ressources about women's cinema from 28 years.
During the International Women Film Festival IRIS has set up for the sixth year a special " Film Market " available to film professionals and journalists. VHS videotapes, DVD and a catalogue with all the information you need to know about the film collections are at hand in this screening area with 10 places and a meeting point.

“How is Your Fish Today?” Directed By Xiaolu Guo (China/UK)
The jury unanimously chose Xiaolu Guo’s film, "How Is Your Fish Today?" for his talent to blend fiction and documentary styles; taking the audience throughout modern day China, from the south and all the way north to the aurora borealis, a place of self-discovery for the filmmaker and screenwriter.
3,800 Euros given to winner by the Délégation à la Cohésion sociale et à la Parité, promotional support for theatrical distribution given by CINECINEMA et technical support offered by Laser Vidéo Titre.
The 2007 Jury 2007 is composed of Noëlle Châtelet (Présidente), Marylin Alasset, Laura Benson, Maryse Wolinski, Philippe Grandrieux, Loïc Magneron et Daniel Vigne.
