Copenhagen Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (CGLFF) is Copenhagen and Denmark's oldest film festival founded in 1986 by the National Association for Gay and Lesbians.
In 2002, the Copenhagen Gay & Lesbian Film Festival took some new initiatives, including a jury, the distribution of film prizes, a mid term partying, a QUEER seminar and school presentations. In 2003, CGLFF organized a printed a screenplay competition. In cooperation with The Danish Film Institute, CGLFF produced the film "Who than you are."
CGLFF has developed a large education program, annually engaging more than 500 primary and secondary school students in the discussion about homosexuality, sex and tolerance in film and society.
Copenhagen Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is a competitive festival offering a grand jury award to the best feature films in the competition program, as well as jury awards for best shorts and best documentary films, and audience awards for best film. The awards are given directly to the directors of the winning films.
