Festival Description:

The Concorto Film Festival screens short films in six sections: Italian and international fiction, animation, experimental, documentaries and very short films lasting less than 5 minutes.  The festival also offers new opportunities to meet authors, press and spectators at a “Drink with the director”, while younger viewers are invited to “ConcortoKids,” dedicated to a public up to 10 years old.

The festival awards the  “Golden Donkey” along with the “Public’s Prize” that will be awarded every night to the film chosen by the viewers. The “Youth” prize is also a special award decided by a jury of high school students. Films in competition are limited to a maximum running time of 20 minutes. The Awards and prizes are as follows:

“Asino d’Oro” award (1000 euros plus trophy) to the best film

Best Documentary Film to the winner of the “DocZone” section (250 euros and plaque)

Best Animation Film to the winner of the “CortoGrafia” section (250 euros and plaque)

Best Experimental Film to the winner of the “Esplora” section (250 euros and plaque)

Best Very Short Film to the winner of the “Concortissimo” section (250 euros and plaque)

The Prize “CortoGiovane” (250 euros and plaque) will be awarded by a Special Young Jury made up of some students of the advanced schools of Piacenza.
