  • Festival Description:

    The Auburn International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults was conceived in 1998 to showcase, promote and distribute films in four categories; Best film made by children 6-14 years old, Best film made by young adults 15-22 year old as well as Best film made by adults about or for children, Best film made by adults about or for youth.

    In 2010, the festival received over 400 works and presented 117 short and feature length films from 52 countries simultaneously at Reading Cinemas Auburn, Vernon Theatre Sydney Olympic Park and Homebush West Public School. Over 2000 students from schools in the Auburn LGA as well as greater Western Sydney region attend the festival and celebrate this unique international event.
