Festival Description:

Year by year the Capalbio Cinema International Short Film Festival, under the patronage of the Minister of Culture, has gained a reputation for being a unique showcase for the International short film market. Films are chosen with no regards with genre and style. The selecting Committee analyze the films capacity to communicate to a heterogeneous public, spanning all ages; the quality of the production; a strong narrative impact, significant innovations in cinematic language. Applications to the Competition must be made out on the official entry form. Shorts should not necessarily be being shown for the first time abroad, but preferably Italian premieres; their duration should not exceed 15 minutes; they must be subtitled, preferably in Italian, or at least in English, or French. Industrial or commercial films are not accepted. The entries can also be considered for the Youth Film Award.
