After 31 years, the Banff Mountain Film Festival has a proven track record as the world’s largest and one of the most prestigious mountain film festivals in the world. The Banff Mountain Film Festival, presented by National Geographic and Dunham Bootmakers, is the flagship program of Mountain Culture at The Banff Centre.
The 2006/2007 Tour will present films in about 30 countries, with a total audience of more than 170,000 people. From armchair adventurers to world-class climbers, from business leaders to schoolchildren, from Argentina to Iceland, and from South Africa to Japan — the World Tour is where you want your film to be. In addition to the well-established World Tour program, The Banff Mountain Film Festival will also present a high-adrenaline, sport-oriented Radical Reels Tour based on our very successful Radical Reels festival night.
The festival offers you the chance to meet other filmmakers and to exchange ideas and collaborate in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with leaders in the outdoor adventure field including climbers, mountaineers, gear manufacturers and journalists. Festival finalists are invited to join us in Banff during festival week.
Selected films will have the opportunity to be featured in Banff Mountain Film Festival network television series.
