The Avignon Film Festival is no more! We have lost our support from the Avignon City Council. Therefore, the not-for-profit organization that has organized this crossroads of independent cinema for the last 25 years will disappear. Thanks for the films and friends!

L'Avignon Film Festival n'est plus! Nous avons perdu notre soutien au sein de la Mairie d'Avignon. Donc, l'Association á but non lucratif qui organisait ce carrefour de cinéma indépendant depuis 25 ans va disparaître. Merci pour les films et les amis!

The 25th Avignon Film Festival with a Closing Ceremony attended by the festival’s Honorary President, Maria de Medeiros, and most of the filmmakers in competition, the 2008 international jury announced this year’s prizewinners :
