AniFest is the international animated film competition festival offering films in 7 competitive categories and a non-competition section- drawing from the best international and Czech animated production. Theater performances, exhibitions, concerts and discussions accompany film screenings, parties and the festival's various cultural and social events.
The Anifest Program includes the international competition of animated films in the categories of short, feature-length, custom-made films and student films, the international competition of animated films made by children and the competition of flipbooks made by children.
The competition films shall be judged at the Festival by festival juries made up of leading figures in film animation, filmmakers, critics, producers and other leading personalities.
The first jury shall judge feature-length films and original production. The following prizes shall be awarded:
Prize for the Best Very Short Film (1,000 €)
Prize for the Best Feature-Length Film (1,000 €)
Prize for the Best Short Film (1,000 €)
The second jury shall judge television films and serials, video clips, advertisements, introductory spots and Internet animation. The following prizes shall be awarded:
Prize for the Best Television Film and Serial (1,000 €)
Prize for the Best Video Clip, Advertisement and Introductory Spot (500 €)
Prize for the Best Internet Animation (500 €)
The third jury shall judge student films and films made by children. The following prizes shall be awarded:
Prize for the Best Student Film (1,000 €)
Prize for the Best School Collection
All nine jury members of the three juries and the Honorary President shall choose a film to be awarded with the AniFest Grand Prix (2,000 €). Each jury member shall nominate one film from among the categories he or she judges to be awarded the AniFest Grand Prix. The Honorary President shall have the deciding vote.
The Anifest Program wouldn't be complete without ProfiForum and the CAS Presentation:
ProfiForum: time-tested, international programming platform of AniFest, dedicated specially to film professionals, film and art school students, film school teachers and media representatives, but also to more knowledgeable non-professionals. ProfiForum include seminars, discussions, presentations, workshops and demonstrations of animation techniques and processes
CAS Presentation: a comprehensive presentation of Czech, Slovakian and Austrian animated production made between 2006 and 2007. It is a unique opportunity for Czech, Slovak and Austrian animation to meet with the whole world.
...and last but not least, festival goers enjoy the opportunity to stay in the unparalleled atmosphere of the spa town of Trebon and its charming surroundings.

AniFest 2007 which has just finished in the town of Trebon is the international animated film competition festival offering both films competing in 7 different categories and a non-competition section, drawing from the best international and Czech animated production. Accompanying events: ProfiForum for film professionals, Schools of Animation where children can try making their own animated films, exhibitions, concerts, meetings with noted personalities from the world of animation, cultural and social circles, and last but not least, the opportunity to stay in the unparalleled atmosphere of the spa town of Trebon and its charming surroundings.
