Action/Cut Short Film Competition, an industry-driven film competition in which all judging panels are working filmmakers, screenwriters, agents, executives, etc., The Action/Cut Short Film Competitionis an extension of the Action/Cut Seminars.
The Action/Cut Short Film Competition and Seminars feature industry professionals who share their work process and their scenes’ progression step-by-step and shot-by-shot. They teach 2-day seminars on filmmaking and production. Participants are invited to read the scenes, discuss how to shoot them within a tight schedule, work out a shooting plan, and then executing it by seeing the actual dailies of those scenes and then seeing the finished work.
Each year there are roughly 60 Action/Cut Seminars conducted in 15 major film cities and internationally from the US to Malaysia.
